Freshman Holly Weber had a goal and an assist as Bishop Ireton avenged a early season setback last year with a 2-0 win in Washington Thursday over National Cathedral School. Grace Skoplan opened the scoring for the Cardinals with an assist from Weber. Nora O'Connor provided a helper for Weber on her goal. After the second weather delay of the contest, the home squad "struck the tent" and the game was concluded. The win in the opener for the WCAC squad left them at 1-0 for the season with a trip to Notre Dame Prep in Towson set for Tuesday.
