A year ago, Parkers Chapel registered one of its biggest wins by toppling Bearden on the road. Unfortunately for the Trojans, history did not repeat itself on Friday night, as the Bears rolled to a 44-14 win in an 8-2A clash. Bearden quarterback Tyler Berry had a big night for the Bears by accounting for four touchdowns in the win. A junior, Berry threw three touchdown passes and ran for another for the Bears (3-2, 2-0). Javian Robinson, Cam’Ron Byes and Keshawn Lee were the recipients of Berry’s touchdown strikes. Bearden was in command from the get-go, jumping out to a 30-0 lead before Dezmon Jackson got the Trojans on the scoreboard with a 60-yard touchdown run. However, that would be the extent of the scoring for the Trojans (4-2, 1-2) until the final play of the game.
