Ireton freshman, Peter Murphy, earned his first WCAC varsity tennis win over Jake Deeley, 8-5, but the Panthers swept the remaining matches to take an 8-1 win at Carl Sandburg MS Thursday. #3 Garrett Beauch and #4 Dylan Louison dropped tough 8-5 decisions. Sophomre Alex Rostron made his varsity debut, losing a "closer than it looks" 8-3 decision. Cards fall to 0-5 in WCAC, 1-7 overall. They will head to Warrenton Friday for a non conference meeting with the Highland School.
