The Hampden Broncos erupted for five runs in the fourth inning with the key hit being a Paige Yost two-run double. The Eagles had taken an early 1-0 lead when Katelyn Cox, who was 3 for 4 on the day, tripled home Zoe Stilphen in the third inning. The Eagles narrowed the Broncos lead to 5-3 with two runs in the top of the fifth. The damage occurred with two outs. Zoe Stilphen singled and Katelyn Cox doubled to put runners on 2nd and 3rd. Kayleigh Temple drew a walk to load the bases and Sara Lamb delivered a two-run single.
