Paladins fall in Sweet 16

PALADINS FALL IN SWEET 16

The Pinecrest Varsity Boys Soccer Team came up short in the 2nd round GHSA State Playoff game against top ranked Paideia on Tuesday, May 3rd. The boys surrendered a couple of early goals and then two more late in the first half to go down 0-4 to a talented Paideia side. The boys took one back on a header by Sophomore Ben Rivard from a cross by Senior Lucas Perez just before the half ended to get to 1-4. The Paladins came out strong but surrendered an early goal in the second half to go down 1-5. The team fought hard to get the game back but could not break the Paideia defense again. The Pinecrest defense held strong for the last 30 min of the 2nd half with good tough play from all the boys. It was a great achievement for the team to reach the Sweet Sixteen round of the playoffs and the future looks great for next year. Great job on a good season and congratulations to our Seniors! Go Paladins!
